Gregory Lee's Wedding – Part 2

I must say, I love sleeping in that basement room at Mike's.  Nice and dark and quiet.  And I got a good night's sleep.

The morning started off at a nice, slow pace.  Mike had just been informed that he was going to be releasing some pigeons at the wedding, so that started a scramble to find a cage.  He found a white one with a pink bottom out in the barn.  Good, hot pink was one of the wedding colors, but Mary sent him into town to see if he could find another, fancier cage, while she took the girls to Mt. Carmel to get their hair done.

After dropping Michael off at basketball, Mike and I hit CVS (some idiot forgot his meds in Chicago), and picked up some wrapping paper, gift bags, and cards for the wedding.  We also hit about 4 or 5 stores in town looking for bird cages.  We found a couple of "maybes" at a used furniture store, but nothing really "Victorian" like Mary was looking for.

The day ticked on, and it was time to get showers and dressed, and out the door.  We needed to get down to Newburg, because Michael needed to get down there for his usher duties for the 5:00 wedding.  But, we did stop at 3 more places looking for bird cages.  Nothing under $100.  So nothing.

When we got to the wedding, the groomsmen and the bridesmaids in their light green dresses were getting their pictures taken along banks of the Ohio River.  They then hopped into a stretch SUV and took off.Wedding-Family

After a some more photos (I have no idea what's going on with my hair), it was time to get the birds in place and get this show on the road.Wedding-Pigeons

So, Gregory stood there, waiting, anticipating, sweltering…
